Can you contribute to Christmas in Lytham?

The organisers rely on financial help from the local community to make the town festive in winter. If everyone that came to the switch on gave £1 they would reach the target in no time!

It costs a whopping amount of money to stage a Lytham Christmas Switch-On event and to keep the lights shining throughout the festive shopping period.

The artists donate their time and there’s a great army of volunteers. But the infrastructure is costly and must be run safely. There’s also the cost of the lights, both installing them and keeping them lit for the duration of the festive period.

Organisers are appealing to you to make a donation toward this cost.

  1. The Friends of Lowther are planning an event at the Lowther Pavilion in Nov 2019 and want to know when the Christmas light switch on will be this year as we don’t want to conflict

  2. Christmas lights in the middle of November. Utter madness!
Where are next year’s hot cross buns, Maybe tomorrow perhaps, or have I missed them already.
