Whether you’re lucky enough to live here or love to visit, there are plenty of things to do in the Lytham area
The town of Lytham lies against the estuary of the River Ribble where it turns inland at the seafront. It’s at the bottom of the north west Fylde Coast in the borough of Fylde – not far from the Victorian town of St Annes.
Lytham itself is a lovely town, perfect for families.

Things to do in Lytham – Shopping
Lytham town centre is reasonably compact and easy to use. The main shopping street (Clifton Street) runs parallel to the seafront, with side streets off it.
It offers a really good range of shopping, with plenty of good quality independent stores along with smaller branches of familiar high street names. There are benches at Clifton Square and plenty of pavement cafes where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine and watch people passing.
Things to do in Lytham – Walking
The seafront at Lytham is a wide grassy area known as Lytham Green – it’s a perfect spot to enjoy a lovely walk.
It’s here where you’ll find the beautiful Lytham windmill. Along with the lifeboat house is a small museum that’s open seasonally.
Things to do in Lytham – Heritage
No visit to Lytham is complete of course without a visit to Lytham Hall.
It’s a beautiful, listed building standing in glorious parkland. Enjoy looking round the Hall itself, take a stroll in the grounds, and enjoy the impressive annual events programme.
