With all the stores arranged side-by-side, it’s a short walk from one store to the next, interspaced with plenty of cafes and places to sit and have a breather, ready to continue on your shopping mission.
There are national high street names at Lytham, including a Tesco Express, Co-op, Clarks and Boots, but the majority of the stores are high quality independents, selling just about everything that you could think of. There are clothes shops and boutiques for children, ladies and menswear, gift shops, homewares, shoe shops and jewellers, plus a wide range of local food retailers.
Against the Market Square you’ll also find the Stringers department store, which has a second site selling furniture and homewares at the other end of town, sharing brand new premises with Booths supermarket.
If you are looking for something special, or different, and like to be able to buy nice things for yourself, your home or your friends, then Lytham is certainly the place for you.
Clifton Street, the main shopping road at Lytham, is an attractive tree lined road, which bursts into colour every year with the highly successful In Bloom campaign.
Clifton Square, with plenty of benches and a windmill mosaic on the floor, is transformed each year with the baskets and floral displays which are beautiful to look at as you take in the place, pass your time, and enjoy an ice cream in the sun.
There is free on street parking on the promenade, and on surrounding side streets, along with a pay and display car park, accessed from Pleasant Street.
